Week 1- Iterative design (ideas)

create troops.

Boss beastly stats with cool attacks.

She would be lv 20ish mob.

worked on skills and abilities

tweeked some skills and abilities.

Created an idea of a map

tried implementing food pack

photoshop and slicing the images

substitute weapons

Rpg with open world aspects

Deciding an engine. We tried Unity to test our ideas.
However, we went with rpgmaker it gave us more freedom.

Dev Update - Javien

Week 2-

Created some npcs so players can interact with them.

Implemented item shop this should help players
early game supplying them with expendable resources.

Began working on restaurant.
This is a big focus of our game.
Will try creating events and working on aesthetics.

Began experimenting with tiles and started on a miniature dungeon.
Ultimately want this to be in our final game unsure yet.
Maybe place our boss there with some lore aspects.

-Dev Update- Javien

-Week 3-

                                                              -Bug fixes-

Alan and Gordon would dissapear when declining their help.
Now you can engage their dialogue again and add them to party.

Migrating from floors in castle would teleport player to
item shop or restaurant.

Fixed environment. Certain tiles would make players stuck.

Cloe event would not start. Changed to start event on end of dialogue.

                                                           -Playtest-

Began testplaying.

Skills where underwhelming.

Descriptions to their effects not displayed.

Tone down ice. Best skill players abused this ability.

Orc mobs / big mobs to tanky. Nerf Hp, defense.

experience was too exponential across the board toned down
for slower progression.

Many balancing issues will speak to you guys further regarding skills and mobs

When we meet.

-Week 4-

Dev Update- Javien

-Story elements
-Some dialogue
-Party memeber events

Jason can speak with Gordon who will task him with
gathering some ingredients. He will join your party
to help you.

As you walk out of the restaurant you will notice an npc
walking around your restaurant looking for work.
Speak with him and he will join you as well.

outside in overworld theres an abandoned house.
Navigate through it and find an old friend.

-Completed Abandoned house
An area open to players. Much like a dungeon come here for loot,
and experience. Progress and find a boss towards the end

-Mobs
Adjusted some mobs they were a bit ridiculous. Had a lot of
feedback from playtesters. Nerfed numerouse things like
Health, exp earned and their abilities.

-Skills
Adjusted some skills. Players felt some skills were obsolete.
Others were too strong it did not allow for unique playstyles.

-What Needs To Be Done
-Last Comment

-----------Locations-----------
Port Royal-Town(Rooms) is done and all Npc has been placed
all that is needed is the scripting to set up the story and we will be good to go

Cave of The Orcs(Dungeon)- The entrance to the dungeon has been made by stepping onto the tile instead on interacting with the mountain via action button cause i couldnt get it to work for some reason

Entrance and exit is done for it as well

added an extra room on the far right called "charles room" you could use that to add a cutscene or to place items or scrpit a battle and maybe add more rooms if you want to include more things to do in the dungeon

-Just add dialogue(if possible), item boxes, or more objects to make the rooms pop

-Secret Bandit Hideout- made the location of the Hideout in the overworld its on the right in a small patch of grass.

Still want to make it a secret mission that you get once you beat the first dungeon but if anything you could make it where you could fight her anytime

-Her room and sprite are also done(check sprite details at the bottom) but if you want to add more to make it pop you can
